We will discuss the importance of archiving Black perspectives, memories, and life in Miami-Dade County, Florida; how Black women and gender expansive communities have shaped and continue to shape the political landscape of Miami-Dade; the critical importance of centering Black migrants in the archives; and more!
About our featured guest: Nadege Green is a researcher, writer and community archivist based in Miami. Her work centers the lived experiences of Black people in South Florida. She is the founder of Black Miami-Dade, an emerging digital storytelling and history platform that resists the erasure of Miami's Black past.
