Pan-African Feminist Solidarity with Africans In Ukraine is crucial at this political juncture. Join our upcoming event to learn more about solidarity efforts with African and Caribbean students and migrants fleeing the Ukraine.

Join us for our upcoming IG Live, “Pan-African Feminist Solidarity with Africans in Ukraine” on Wednesday, March 2nd at 2:30 PM EST/7:30 PM GMT.

As countless African and Caribbean students and migrants flee from Ukraine and attempt to find refuge, they are being met with anti-Blackness at every turn—being denied to cross borders, pushed off trains, and left to defend for themselves as tensions increase between Ukraine and Russia. Mainstream media has also overlooked the plights of African and Caribbean migrants in Ukraine as well.

What does it mean to be in Pan-African Feminist Solidarity at this political juncture—especially when it seems like no one cares about #africansinukraine? Host Nana Brantuo will be in discussion with Tokunbo Koiki, who created a GoFundMe to support #africansinukraine and is actively working with communities to aid them to safety.
