Omolara Ogundipe-Leslie, more formerly known as Molara Ogundipe (December 27, 1940--June 18, 2019) was a Nigerian poet, editor and activist, who was considered a pioneer and authority on African feminisms. As the founder, articulator, and theorist of a form of African feminism known as "Stiwanism" (Social Transformation in Africa Including Women), Ogundipe focused on centering the perspectives and voices of African women in feminist thought and behavior.
